Culinary Programs Offered:

Certificate
Baking & Pastry (C)
In the Baking & Pastry program, you’ll gain hands-on baking skills. Emphasis is placed on fundamental pastry and bread-baking techniques, in addition to all-purpose baking, desserts, cake decoration, and pastry arts. To complement your culinary techniques, you’ll learn critical thinking and business essentials. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).
Culinary Arts (C)
In the Culinary Arts program, you’ll have an opportunity to gain practical experience in the kitchen while studying the business of cost control, sanitation and safety, menu and beverage management, nutrition, and kitchen management. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to produce food quickly and in quantity while working with others. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).
Associate
Culinary Arts (AA)

Wine, Spirits, & Beverage Management* (AA)
In the Wines, Spirits & Beverages Management program, you’ll focus on the process of overseeing wines, spirits, and beverages supplies for restaurants, cruise ships, or banquet facilities. You’ll study communications, training, leadership, management, accounting, marketing, financial management, and employee relations. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as restaurant manager, inventory manager, or banquet manager.

*Participation in the program for those under 21 years of age will be conducted in accord with state law regarding the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Bachelors
Culinary Arts Management (BS)
In the Culinary Arts Management program, you’ll focus on what it takes to manage a kitchen, restaurant, or catering operation. You’ll study communications, training, leadership, management, accounting, marketing, financial management, and employee relations. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as restaurant manager or catering manager in restaurants, hospitals, cruise ships, and banquet facilities.

* Evening and Weekend Option: Introducing the Evening and Weekend option at The Art Institutes. Now students can earn some degrees during evenings and weekends, with an online and on-ground format.
